We invite you to come and join us for all of the activities, and to help our local club promote the sport of fishing the beautiful and productive waters of our two great states, Michigan and Ohio. Our non-profit club is using the show along with other activites to raise money to expand our impact on the current and future generations of people interested in the outdoors and the conservation of our natural resources. We have a diverse membership that truly enjoys the comraderie and friendly competition of our summer season outings and tournaments, family activites and our specially targeted children’s activities with our lure making demos and our exciting fishing simulator throughout the year and especially our club sponsored “Salmon in Schools” program. We could, however, use some additional financial support, and we respectfully request that you consider joining some of our current sponsors such as Monroe Dodge Chrysler Jeep Superstore, Cabela’s, Brest Bay Marina, and Fisherman’s Cave in supporting this worthwhile endeavor at our annual show.
There are several levels of donations that might be considered, and they are listed below:
A $50.00 donation and you can have your name added to the plaque fitted to the special equipment, aquarium, chiller and controls for the Salmon in Schools program, in addition to a listing on the banner to be displayed at the release of the fish raised by the students into some of our local waters. It’s a great event and covered by local media as the children release smolt size salmon raised from fertilized eggs provided by the Michigan DNR, one at a time, with parents, families and teachers looking on and cheering.
A $100.00 donation to sponsor the childrens free fishing lure demo at all of the shows we attend, where club members help children of all ages design and build their very own special crawler harness. Your name will be displayed on a large poster next to the demo table and you’ll get the pleasure of seeing the youngsters make their own unique fishing lure.
A $200.00 donation to sponsor the HVSC free fishing simulator exhibit at our club’s booth at the show, again targeting the children of all ages to give the video experience and the realistic feel through a rod and reel of catching fish from the size and strength of a smallmouth bass to a king salmon while they watch the action on a video screen right in front of them. Your name will be again featured on a large poster or banner right above the screen.
A $350.00 donation to sponsor one of the free seminars given by professional anglers on both days at the show. Your name will be featured on a poster at the meeting room door along with pictures and bio’s of the featured speakers for both days, and moved inside the seminar room during the actual seminar.
Larger donations can sponsor the radio and print advertising for the show, with your name prominently mentioned or shown for each advertisement. Charter fishing trip raffles or product prize raffles during the show can also be considered.
All donations include varying numbers of free expo tickets, listings on the thousands of flyers distributed at several major shows prior to our dates and included in several newspaper mailings. Your name will also be prominently shown on the new HVSC club website at www.huronvalleysc.org and added to our growing network of friends in the sportfishing community. Sponsor product display areas can be made available at the show, and club participation in any special promotions such as charter fishing trip raffles to collect contact information are also possible.
